When you think of going to the bathroom, especially in the US, there’s one thing you absolutely need to complete your journey: Toilet Paper. Toilet paper was mentioned in the television show Seinfeld. In the episode “The Pen,” George Costanza runs out of toilet paper while using the restroom at his girlfriend’s apartment and must use her expensive, monogrammed tissues instead. The incident leads to an argument between the couple.
In the episode “The Beard” where Jerry and George decide to use the public toilet with no toilet paper at the NBC building. And in the episode “The Pothole” George’s father, Frank Costanza, uses a newspaper as a substitute of toilet paper after they run out of it at home.
In the episode “The Sponge,” George has trouble finding his preferred brand of toilet paper in the store, leading him to stock up on it in bulk.
